Restaurant Metal Marking

Cutting Edge Laser has consistently evolved with new technological innovations, and one of our fastest growing business facets involves metal marking.  Although several types of machines can actually cut metal directly, this involves much more space and expensive equipment, resulting in higher overhead and operating costs.  Cutting Edge Laser prefers to partner with these companies to avoid having to raise our prices, referring our customers to known associates who need metal reformed before marking it.  

 Cutting Edge Laser remains focused on precision metal marking, including in partnership with a water jet metal cutting company when reforming or cutting the metal object is necessary.  Metal marking does not actually cut through or into the metal surface, but has an alternate methodology for permanently marking it.  The metal marking process Cutting Edge Laser specializes in involves applying a liquid paste or bonding agent to the bare metal surface.  This new combination is then inserted into the CNC Laser Cutter, and our laser mechanical operator programs the precise design to be marked into our software.  Next the marking process commences, and the laser super heats specific areas of the marking paste, permanently bonding it to the metal surface.  There is a wide range of bonding agents, each with a specific temperature needed to chemically bond the marking material to the metal surface, depending on our clients unique requirements.  

After the lasering process is finalized, there is now a permanent mark where the laser bonded the agent to the metal.  However, there is inevitably an excess amount of bonding agent.  The final aspect of the process is the cleaning process, which can be long and arduous due to the complex chemical makeup of different bonding agents.  However, this is worth the difficulty when the final product has a permanently bonded mark, which will persist through both heat and cold and is able to be repeatedly washed and scrubbed!
